A Bali-based run club, Entourage Bali, has come under fire after allegations that it excluded local Indonesians from participating in its "silent disco" run, allowing only foreigners to take part.

The event has since sparked widespread backlash from influencers and netizens online.

IG creator chrisgiacobbecomedy has also gone viral after criticising the run in Bali, describing the participants as allegedly "racist, obnoxious people blocking the road who think they're the centre of the universe"

According to the creator, the backlash prompted Entourage Bali to issue a statement, saying it is "a platform for digital nomads" and that participant selection is "automated", with applicants required to declare their nationality during the application process.
