"No One Will Remember the Prophet" Malaysian Content Group Under Fire Over Insensitive Religious Remarks

A Malaysian content group known as AI Team has come under heavy criticism from the Malay-Muslim community after releasing a skit that featured religiously insensitive remarks about the Prophet Muhammad.

In the skit, a group of men dressed in traditional Malay clothing are shown sitting around a table, and after one of the female creators introduces herself as a descendant of the Prophet, the scene cuts back to the group.

One of the men then says that by 2026, he believes no one will remember the Prophet, causing the group to burst into laughter.

Popular Malaysian preacher Pencetus Ummah (PU) Syed also spoke out, questioning who had written and approved a script that many viewed as mocking religion He then urged the team members to repent and issue an official apology for their actions.

Muhamad Syahmie, the influencer who made the remark, later posted an official apology on his Instagram Stories. In his statement, he explained that his intention was to remind Muslims to continue reflecting on and upholding their Islamic faith.

He also stressed that he would never mock his own religion, adding that some people may have misunderstood the meaning behind his words. The video has since been removed.
